School Scholarship Opportunities
School Programs General Scholarship Fund
Are you interested in bringing your students on a field trip to the Audubon Naturalist Society or bringing our Naturalist in Your Classroom program to you, but lack the funds to pay for the program? If your school has 50% or more of its students on the free and reduced meal plan, we may be able to assist your school with a scholarship.
Through the generosity of our members and other individuals, we have a limited amount of scholarship funds available that may be used for either a Field Trip to one of our sanctuaries or a Naturalist in Your Classroom program. Scholarships are awarded on a first come-first served, as needed basis.
How to Apply
- Choose a program from the ANS Environmental Science Programs Brochure.
- Complete the School Programs Scholarship Application Form.
- Send your completed forms to ANS in one of the following ways:
For programs at or near our Woodend Nature Sanctuary (Chevy Chase, Maryland):
For programs at or near our Rust Nature Sanctuary (Leesburg, Virginia):
The Stone and Holt Weeks Nature Field Trip Scholarship
Other Scholarship/Grant Opportunities
The following scholarship and grant opportunities are provided by companies and organizations other than the Audubon Naturalist Society, but may be used to pay for Field Trips or Naturalist In Your Classroom programs. Some also include funds for teacher development and classroom/school projects. This list is updated on a rolling basis, in hopes to provide you with the most current scholarship and grant opportunities.
Donate to the School Programs General Scholarship Fund
Help bring students in Pre-K through high school on a field trip to the Audubon Naturalist Society or bring a Naturalist in Your Classroom program to a school by donating to our general scholarship fund.
With many schools cutting field trips and other enrichment programs due to budget restrictions, the rising cost of gas, and testing demands, your donation will help provide these inspiring and educational experiences for schools that may not otherwise be able to participate.
Donate today to assist us in fostering appreciation, understanding and stewardship of the natural environment for our future generations.
