Salad Science: Growing Edibles in Container Gardens!
NEW! Watch GreenKids talk Salad Science. Thanks to the generous support of Whole Foods Montgomery County, we were able to produce this short piece featuring the impact our GreenKids Salad Science program is making on our region’s school-aged children.

What better way to save energy than to produce tasty, organic produce right in your schoolyard? Students grow their own salad greens from seeds, learn about parts of plants and their nutritional value, collect data on plant growth, and harvest the salad greens for a delicious salad party. This project requires a six-week commitment to weekly garden visits and at least one parent volunteer.
