This site, one of the original ANS monitoring stations, is located in Olney, Maryland, in a wooded area of North Branch Stream Valley Park. It is just upstream of Bowie Mill Road and upstream of the ICC. The west side of the watershed is in Montgomery County’s Upper Rock Creek Master Plan area, but the east side is not. It was developed for housing in 1996. High water flow following storms has undercut the banks of this third order stream.
