45 Years of Bird Population Trends
Thursday, May 16, 7:30 p.m. at Woodend

Every June since 1966, experienced birders have been documenting the populations of roadside birds throughout the United States and southern Canada. Now ornithologists at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center have compiled from this Breeding Bird Survey Data an interactive database showing abundance and trends of 400 species.

At an ANS members' meeting May 16, Dr. John Sauer, lead researcher on the project first begun by Chandler Robbins, will tell us about the significant trends and explain how to use the data base.

Doors open at 7 for refreshments and browsing in the bookshop. The program begins at 7:30. RSVP to Susan Sprenke at shsprenke@gmail.com
