Northern Bobwhite populations experienced widespread declines in the second half of the 20th century as their habitat diminished. Now a network of state agencies and conservation groups are working to return the quail to its target density. Wildlife biologist Kyle Brazil, agriculture policy coordinator for the National Bobwhite Conservative Initiative, will talk about the Bobwhite and strategies for expanding its grassland habitat, with special attention to efforts in Virginia. Please join us at the Dolley Madison Library, 1244 Oak Ridge  Ave., McLean, VA. Click here for directions.

The program begins at 7:30. Doors open at 7 for light refreshments. RSVP to Susan Sprenke at [email protected].
